Keto turkey meatballs are easy to make oven baked ground turkey meatballs. This keto turkey meatballs recipe is my kids favorite keto snack and wonderful party food recipe!
We love these turkey meatballs! Not just because these are low carb turkey meatballs, but really delicious! They are so easy to make, even my children are helping in preparation.
Just one bowl or a food processor is enough to mix the ingredients. You don't need to stand at the stove, no need to make a huge mess in the kitchen... To bake them in the oven, I use just a sheet pan layered with a parchment paper, and that's one more mommy hack! 🙂
You can eat them as a snack, delicious party food, or as a meatballs served with zoodles and sauce, in soups or in any way you usually have your meatballs.
HOW TO MAKE KETO TURKEY MEATBALLS?
Here are the ingredients you will need, to make this wonderful recipe!
TURKEY MEAT - you can use ground turkey meat or whole meat and grind it in a food processor together with other ingredients. I love using fresh meat, so I use turkey breasts or thighs.
Is it possible to make it with chicken meat?
Definitely yes! Chicken meat can be great for this recipe too. Basically, you can use what you have in equal amount, or even a combination of chicken and turkey.
ONION - everything is better when you add some onion. Especially in case of meat dishes, and these meatballs are not exception. Onion will give some extra taste to this dish plus it's healthy!
ALMOND FLOUR & PARMESAN - this mixture is here to replace the traditional bread crumbs. It's gluten-free and flavorful.
EGG - you need egg as a glue to connect meat with almond flour and parmesan cheese, as well as for the flavor, together with herbs and spices.
HERBS & SPICES - definitely add salt and pepper! All other spices and herbs are optional. You may add powdered garlic, ground paprika, fresh parsley, dried basil, and similar herbs. If you like spicy food, you can add some chili flakes. That's my favorite!
PROCEDURE TO MAKE TURKEY MEATBALLS
Just grind the meat in the food processor, together with all other ingredients and form the balls with your hands. To make it easier, you can do it with wet hands.
Put all the meatballs on a sheet pan layered with a parchment paper and bake in a preheated oven on 175 C/350 F for 40 to 50 minutes.
SERVING LOW CARB TURKEY MEATBALLS
This delicious meatballs are great when dipped into a sour cream, yogurt dip or any low carb sauce you like. You can even serve them with tomato sauce and zoodles or in a soup!
