Sea bream baked in the oven is simple, healthy and zero carb meal full of taste and Omega-3. I like sea bream, it is really great quality, “meaty” fish with little amount of bones. If having fresh sea bream and enough time to cook outside, you can grill it, grilled sea bream is the best, however, if you are in a hurry like me, it will be easier to prepare it on the simplest way possible – pure sea bream cooked in the oven.

How to bake sea bream in the oven?

Like with all my recipes, it’s the same with the sea bream recipe, keep it simple! Season it with sea salt, pour it generously with a good quality extra virgin olive oil, and bake in a preheated oven. When it comes to olive oil, I like Istrian olive oil, sharp and aromatic, suits to my temper. xoxoxo πŸ˜€

As you can see, I season it with sea salt only before baking, and freshly ground pepper I add just before eating it because I don’t like the taste of burnt pepper. When baked you can add some garlic and lemon juice on top if you like.

Ingredients you will need to prepare sea bream baked in the oven

Fresh sea bream (250 g)

Sea salt

Extra virgin olive oil 3 TBS

Fresh grounded pepper mix

Garlic and lemon (optional)

Procedure to prepare sea bream baked in the oven

Turn on the oven 180C (356F).

Clean the sea bream from intestines.

Wash it properly and remove hard parts from the skin.

Generously season sea bream with sea salt only from the outside.

Put it on a parchment paper and pour generously with extra virgin olive oil.

Bake sea bream in preheated oven for 20-30 minutes or more if needed. When baked skin should be golden brown on the edges.

You can turn it when half baked if you like, but you don’t have to.

When baked, serve it with your favorite salad, baked veggies or nice keto bread. I recommend you my keto bread without eggs that taste like a real artisan bread.
